Ames Hydro Power Plant Tour

Enjoy a guided tour of the Ames Hydro Power Plant and learn the history and significance of this plant being the first to produce, transmit and sell AC power in 1891. We'll discuss hydro as a green, renewable energy source and its importance to the future mix of renewable energy. We'll travel to Trout Lake after the powerhouse to further understand how the entire project operates.
